At Renewal Church our kids (infant - 5th grade) experience a safe, fun, age-appropriate environment where they can learn about God's love. We would love to see your family visit Renewal Kids. Click here to find our location and plan your visit.
Your First Visit
Here's what to expect when you visit Renewal Kids for the first time.
First, find the area marked Kid's Check-in, it's just to the right of the door to the main auditorium. There we will meet your family, check your child into our system, and then one of our volunteers will lead you and your child to their age-appropriate room.
Upon Checking-in for the first time we will ask for the following personal information (NOTE - we value your privacy and will not share this information with anyone):
- Parent/Guardian name(s)
- Child's Name
- Child's Birthdate
- Home Address
- Phone Number (for emergency contact)
- Any special instructions (allergies, special needs) for your children
How Check-in Works
Before Service: Your first week, a kid's volunteer will walk you through the check-in process. The following weeks you can check your child in at the kiosk in the main hallway. After finding your child in the database, you and your child will be given matching name tags that are exclusive to your family and your visit. Your child will need to wear the name tag portion while you keep the matching tag. To help keep our kids safe only authorized volunteers and family members with tags are permitted beyond the check-in area inside the "tag zone."
After Service: After the service is complete, you will return to your child's room and show your tag in order for your child to be released back to you.
During Service: In the event that we need to contact you during the service, we will text you or possibly notify you in person. We ask that you exit the auditorium immediately and proceed to your child's room where the person responsible for Renewal Kids for that day will meet you.
The Sunday Morning Children's gathering
Each week children are welcomed by our Kids’ ministry volunteers. All Renewal Kids Servants are background checked, reference checked, and approved by Renewal Kids leadership before serving. Children will always be in the presence of two adults.
For Parents Of Infants During the Service
Renewal Church offers childcare for infants during the service, but we also have parents who prefer to keep their infants with them during the service. Although we do not yet have a Parent's Viewing Room, we do encourage you to stand, walk, or sit with your infant in the back of the auditorium if you would like to. Many parents find this allows them to better attend to their children and still participate in the service.
Children ages 0-2 years
We have a safe, clean and enclosed area for younger children to play and explore. The volunteers care for children by providing comfort, reading, singing songs, and playing with them. We do not provide snack for this age group due to the varied food experiences and tolerances of young children, however we do welcome home snacks if you bring one.
Children ages 3 year- 5th Grade
We know that children are curious, social, and energetic. For these reasons children in Renewal Kids have fun with volunteers who are passionate about Jesus and his mission, through a variety of activities. Each week kids experience music videos, Bible lessons, high energy games, crafts, and allergy aware snacks.
