The Giles Family
Jacob and MacKenzie have been married for seven years and are the proud parents of two boys, Nik (3) and Nash (>1). Both originally from Georgia, they met in college, where Jacob attended on a baseball scholarship. After sensing God’s leading, Jacob stepped into full-time ministry as a pastor, which eventually took their family to Pensacola, Florida.
During their years in Pensacola, they built a fruitful life and ministry, but in 2024 God used key people in their lives to redirect their hearts toward Boston—a city Jacob has loved his entire life as a die-hard sports fan, and one both he and MacKenzie had long felt drawn to.
After a season of prayer and discernment, they became confident that God was calling them to plant a church in the very city they had carried a burden for. In August 2025, they packed up their family and moved to Southie. Since arriving, they’ve fallen deeply in love with the community of Southie and can’t imagine calling anywhere else home.
